My eight-night stay at Hotel Parador De Alcala was good. nestled right in the heart of Oaxaca. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the city on foot. However, my windowless room left something to be desired in terms of temperature regulation. Overall, the staff was tremendously helpful, and the charming atmosphere made for a nice experience.

My room was small and windowless, which made temperature regulation challenging. but I appreciated the good water pressure in the large shower. Daily bottled water was a nice touch.

6.8/10

My stay at Hotel Parador De Alcala was quite enjoyable overall. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything. very convenient for exploring Oaxaca. I loved the spacious junior suite with a comfortable bed and large bathroom, but the noise from the neighboring club kept me from getting good rest at night. The rooftop terrace and pool were a fantastic bonus for unwinding after a long day in the city.

I stayed in a lovely junior suite that was spacious and well-equipped. The large bed was incredibly comfortable, and the rain shower in the bathroom felt luxurious. However, I did notice a bit of noise from the adjacent club, especially late at night.
Service

The staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. They were attentive and helpful with arranging tours and transportation, though I did wish they had greeted me with more warmth.

Breakfast was included and quite good, with a variety of options. The atmosphere was nice, though I was a bit surprised by the coffee limit, as two small cups felt a bit restrictive.

My stay at Hotel Parador De Alcala was quite enjoyable overall. I loved the charming location right in the city center, making it easy to explore. The rooms were comfortable and clean, though I faced a minor inconvenience with the Wi-Fi in my top-floor room. While the breakfast had potential, it didn't quite meet my expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend this boutique hotel for its hospitality and convenient location.

Rooms

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, featuring a plush bed and a generously sized shower. I stayed on the top floor with a small balcony that offered a lovely view of the street below.

The staff was attentive and friendly throughout my stay, making sure I had everything I needed. One particular staff member, Geraldo, went above and beyond in providing excellent service.
Location

The hotel is perfectly positioned on a busy pedestrian street, just blocks away from the Zocalo and the stunning Santo Domingo church, which made exploring the city a breeze.
Dining

The breakfast included a good variety of options, but I found it lacking in taste and freshness compared to local market offerings. It could be improved significantly to enhance the stay.

The rooftop pool was a wonderful amenity, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing, although I didn’t have time to use it. The hotel's interior design was beautiful and added to the experience.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Parador De Alcala. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Oaxaca, making it super easy to explore local attractions. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel at home. However, the room I stayed in was small and a bit stuffy at first, but the air conditioning worked like a charm. Overall, the charming vibe of the hotel and the delicious breakfast made it a nice experience.

The room was cozy with a comfy bed. It faced a busy street but was surprisingly quiet at night. My only issue was the size; while it was sufficient, it felt a bit snug.

My stay at Hotel Parador De Alcala was enjoyable overall, thanks to its fantastic location and charming atmosphere. However, I did encounter some issues, particularly with room privacy and dining options that could use a bit of enhancement.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a second-floor room overlooking the pedestrian street, which was a delight. The room was surprisingly quiet due to the thick stone walls. However, I noticed that some ground floor bedrooms were directly accessible from the public lobby, which made them feel less private. Also, some rooms lacked windows, which could be an issue for those who prefer natural light.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially when I needed help arranging transportation for site visits, which was very convenient. However, I noticed they didn't always greet me warmly or smile, which slightly impacted the overall atmosphere.
Location
10.0
The hotel is perfectly located on the busy pedestrian street, just steps away from restaurants, museums, and the Zocalo. This made it easy for me to explore the vibrant city without needing to travel far.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was included and quite good, featuring local dishes. However, I wished there were more variety, like yogurt and granola options. I also think the dining area could benefit from a more inviting ambiance.
Facilities
6.0
The small swimming pool was a nice touch and offered a relaxing escape after a day of sightseeing. However, I was disappointed by the limited gym facilities, as one of the machines was out of order during my stay.
